In an effort to enhance the security of the New Jersey Child Support Employer Services Portal, effective February 23rd, 2026, the following requirements will take effect:

  • Minimum Password Length: Passwords must now be at least 12 characters long. We recommend using a passphrase or a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols to create a strong and memorable password. You can change your password now under the Update My Account page.
  • New MFA Feature: Upon entering login credentials, a multifactor authorization code will be generated to your email address to complete access to your account.

Employers must report re-hires, or employees who return to work after 60 days of being laid off, furloughed, separated, granted a leave without pay or terminated from employment. Employers must also report re-called employees, anyone who remains on the payroll during a break in service or gap in pay and then returns to work. This includes teachers, substitutes, seasonal workers, etc.
